A bewildering selection of conservative and surgical treatment options for spinal disorders. Therefore, matters remain unclear for doctors and patients as only a few treatments are documented precisely. In addition, the practice of spinal medicine is quickly changing from anecdotal and practical experience to evidence based medicine.
Continuing documentation increases the quality of spine health care by creating a modern, efficient and simple way to establish benchmarks on one side and reproducible standards of patient assessment on the other side.
The Swiss Spine Institute supports the Swiss Spine Registry Documentation Program that was developped as a result of the HTA process to evaluate the total disc prosthesis. The Swiss Spine Registry has been developped by the Swiss Spine Society in collaboration with MEM Media.
